With reference to your letter of the 17th June, 1875, and previous correspondence, on the subject of the lighting of the approaches to Hong Kong, I am directed by the Board of Trade to transmit, herewith, to be laid before Sir Michael Hicks Beach, extract from a letter which has been received from the Committee of Lloyd's, calling attention to the need of a Lighthouse on the Prata Islands, and, in so doing, to state that it appears to the Board of Trade that the question is one for the consideration of the Government of Hong Kong.
